8848 Altitude Gansu 3.0 Jacket

Designed so that you can go further, endure more and with that also said; have more fun. This version is the latest update where the jacket has got a facelift with new, modern design elements.

The jacket’s design is made with a minimalist approach, a philosophy where every detail and cut is carefully designed to fulfill its function and sit in exactly the right place. In high alpine terrain, there is simply no room for poor quality or performance. In addition, low weight and a well-balanced fit to be able to comfortably wear second layers under the jacket, and backpack, are vital elements in the design. All of these parameters are well incorporated into the Gansu 3.0 Jacket’s design and hard tested to be a jacket that delivers 100%.

For maximum function, we use durAtec® Supreme in a 3-layer shell construction. The material has exceptionally high performance, with 20,000 mm waterproofness and 15,000g/m2/24h breathability, among the most competent you can find. The material also has a light stretch that improves flexibility and agility.

The jacket is equipped with an extra high collar and a fixed storm hood with a visor, adapted for use with a helmet. The hood can be tightened with drawstrings to fit securely. The sleeve ends are slightly trumpet-shaped and have velcro adjustment to be able to provide a tight connection to the gloves. Drawstring at the bottom for adjusting the width and snowgaiter at the waist ensures that snow does not penetrate from below. To be able to ventilate excess heat, or to be able to take the arms out when ski touring, the jacket has extra long zippers under each sleeve.

The two large chest pockets have heavy, waterproof YKK® zippers with easy-grip pullers. Ski pass pocket on the sleeve. On the inside, a pocket in stretch mesh with a zipper, for e.g. the beanie. The jacket’s decoration is minimalistic as well, with a small “8” in metal on the chest and a printed logo on the sleeve strap.
